Job Title: Part Time Visual Arts Elementary School Teacher

Days/Hours Per Week: One Day/Week 7:45a.m. – 3:15p.m.

Compensation: Regionally Competitive

Job Description :

Seeking a creative Art Teacher to inspire students at the Hellenic American Academy. Develop engaging art lessons, assess student progress, and foster creativity in a positive learning environment.

Responsibilities :

• Develop and deliver engaging art history and art lessons aligned with state standards.

• Assess student artwork and provide constructive feedback.

• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the art curriculum.

• Purchase art materials and maintain the inventory of art materials.

• Prepare and arrange art materials and art equipment in the classroom for students to use.

• Deliver instruction to students on art, art techniques, art history and aesthetics.

• Give drawing and painting demonstrations to students to teach them art techniques

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in Art Education or related field.

• Valid teaching certification in Illinois. [Preferred]

• Experience working with students in an art education setting.
